The Yin Side of Things
Yin yoga is kind of awesome.
When I first tried it I admit it: I was bored.
I thought repeatedly: "When will this end? Can I leave yet? How far is it from the door? Why is it so quiet? Would it be rude to roll up my mat and run screaming from this room?"
And I'm glad I did.
That was more than a decade ago, and since then I've not only studied yin a lot, but I've learned to love it.
And I also love to each it.
Because sometimes we all need to DO less to FEEL more.
But like all yoga, it's really one of those things you have to try, or experience, to absorb.
(Oh, and coincidentally, I'm teaching a new yin class here on Bowen Island, kicking off this Thursday, 6:30 p.m. at the community centre CLICK HERE to sign up.)
